Purchasing Linens from Internet Only Company or Local Store

I recently received a call from a bride requesting a price quote for table linens, napkins, and chair covers for her wedding. I gave her the information that she requested. She compared our prices to the that of several Internet based businesses. She then made the choice to go with an Internet based company because the costs were less. Three days before her wedding, the bride called me to say her order arrived from the Internet based company filled with wrinkles from shipping. At that point, her choices were to 1. spend the next 2-3 days before her wedding ironing the linens, 2. go with the linens in their current condition and hope the wrinkles go unnoticed by her guests and still pull off the same affect or 3. pay twice for her linens by ordering an additional set from a local company.
Unfortunately, this is a scenario that happens quite often to many consumers. They simply do not think to ask if the linens will arrive wrinkle free or if the linens will suffer from wrinkles after shipping. Typically, when ordering products from a local company such as ours, Le Fabuleux Events, the linens are pressed before pick up/delivery and do not incur any additional damage from being smushed into a box for shipping. So before you place your next order from an Internet based firm, make sure you get the answers you need to make the best decision for you.
